Artesa rewarded at the 16th edition of the Grand Prix du Design
Artesa received 1 award at the 16th edition of the Grand Prix du Design held on October 19, 2023 in Montreal at the Plaza Centre-Ville.
The winning project, which received GOLD certification in the Lodging, Restaurant & Bar / Café & Food Counter category, is BRP Valcourt .
Housed in the brand-new BRP Visitor Center (designed by ADSP, a superb, windowed extension that emerges from the main facade of BRP’s head office like a group of complex geometric volumes skilfully assembled), the food facilities rub shoulders with a reception area, a showroom and other related utility spaces.
The new food facilities are vast, and the daily routing of users has been carefully studied.
The multi-station service area is made up of several counters, with or without service, each offering a distinct menu – a bit like a food court: a hot menu station in pans, a grill/lunch station, a pizza/sandwich station, a salad/soup bar, a cold/hot beverage and pastry bar, a wide range of bottled beverages and pre-packaged chilled foods, a pick-up station for prepaid orders online….! All of this, combined with overhead menus and efficient, dynamic lighting, makes for a stimulating, pleasant and convivial service area.
The kitchen, although not part of the user experience, contributes to the customer experience in many ways: both open and closed, it is designed to showcase the expertise of the Sodexo team in the production of the food offer, while limiting the visibility of storage and maintenance operations, in this case the return of trays and crockery, the management of waste and recyclable and compostable materials.
The dining room, equipped with a variety of fully self-supporting furnishings allowing for different levels of comfort, groups and configurations, is divided into sections created by variations in lighting intensity and type, the color of constituent and surrounding materials, and multimedia wall screens.
The emblematic and spectacular element of this project is undoubtedly the series of benches in enfilade, forming the longitudinal limit of the food facilities and running along the entire length of the new visitor center’s main hall. Topped by a bespoke geometric pergola of metal and wood, visually ubiquitous and complex in constitution, yet light in appearance and airy in allure… We humbly hope that this signature object subtly evokes BRP’s brand image and product design… humbly.
Artesa had the privilege of participating in the creation of this project, which provides BRP’s food facilities with a concrete and distinguished atmosphere, dynamic and stimulating for breaks and meetings.
This event gave our company the opportunity to showcase the talents of our team-mates, as well as demonstrating the wide variety of talents within our team.
